Do you know someone amazing? We want to know about them!
We have some exciting news to share! We have launched our very own awards to help shine a light on the amazing things happening with the cancer community.
Aptly named the Spotlight Awards, the awards by Live Better With celebrate the achievements of truly remarkable people, products, and services in the cancer community. Nominated by the public, the winners will be from all walks of life, of all ages, and from all over the world.
We want to celebrate the successes and achievements of everyone in the cancer community who has demonstrated a passion and a commitment to overcoming obstacles and helping others.
What are the categories?
We’ll be selecting FIVE Remarkable Person winners. You can nominate anyone of any age from anywhere in the world for this category. It may be for a single act of incredible courage, a long-lasting battle against the odds, or for inspirational campaigning. Whether it is someone who has devoted their time to volunteering, someone who has helped the local community, someone who has cared for others, or just someone who is uplifting and makes a difference to your life – nominate them today and help to recognise what they do.
Other categories include:
Best Cancer Book
Have you read a book that’s changed the way you think about cancer? Whether it’s your experience or that of a loved one, reading can help us to process complex situations. We’re proud to carry a range of fabulous books by several different authors; each with a unique perspective on the cancer experience. If there’s a book that’s made a difference to you, we’d love to know about it! We’ll be selecting ONE book as the winner. You can nominate any book (of any length, language, or cancer topic).
Best Cancer Blogger
Many cancer patients tell us that it’s helpful to read about each other’s stories. Knowing you’re not the only one to experience cancer is reassuring, and there’s nothing quite as comforting as hearing from someone who just gets it. If you’ve found comfort in the stories of others, or have a space that you rely on for candid, practical advice, submit a nomination and help to help other patients just like you. We’ll be selecting ONE winner for the Best Cancer Blogger award.
Best Cancer Support Group
Do you have a group that’s helped you through difficult times? Have you discovered a whole new set of friends since your diagnosis, who know what you’re going through? Whether they’re in your local clinic, round your kitchen table, or in an online forum, we want to give your support group a shout out! We’ll select ONE group to win the Best Cancer Support Group award.
Best Cancer Service
Charities, companies, even apps that you’ve found particularly handy – we want to hear about all the services out there doing great things for people with cancer. Let us know which service you think deserves a pat on the back, and we’ll select one service to win our Best Cancer Service award.
We’re proud of all the products we stock here at Live Better With, but we want to know which ones you really rate. From the one lotion that sorted your itchy skin, to your all-time favourite headwear, we’ll be selecting a winner in each of the following categories: Skincare, Hair loss, Mastectomy, Stress relief, Combatting nausea, Feeling comfortable, Mind and brain, Eating well.
How can you nominate?
We know you may have a few people or brands in mind, so you can vote multiple times for multiple categories.
To vote, please submit your nominees using our Spotlight Awards nomination form.
How will it be judged?
Our winners will be chosen from public nominations and stories of remarkable individuals discovered by the Live Better With team.
