3M Cavilon Durable Barrier Cream - 28g
To help people live better with cancer, we donate $1000 to the American Cancer Society every month.
Incontinence can often be a side effect of cancer and it's treatment. Cavilon is proven to help reduce incontinence associated dermatitis by protecting against body fluids to prevent sore skin. It creates an invisible barrier over the skin to protect it from the damage caused by increased contact with urine and faeces. This cream is ideal for severely dry or chapped skin and is both hypoallergenic and pH balaned. The formula is highly concentrated allowing a little to go a long way. The cream only needs to be applied twice a day due to its durable formula.
Why do people living with cancer recommend this product?
This stuff is excellent - recommended by a home carer for my father whilst he was bedridden. She had noticed a couple of reddened areas of skin she suspected could turn to pressure sores. Within 24 hours of the first application the reddened areas had returned to normal. Although he never got any sores, we continued to apply this (sparingly)to any areas that may be subject to friction and pressure, and I am certain the Cavilon was the sole reason his skin remained intact.
