I practically live on these things, since discovering last year that there was a name for my condition (misophonia) I started using these and found them much better compared to foam ones which never stay in my ears. Admittedly they can be a bit tricky to get in to your ear and form a complete seal at first but it's something that you perfect with practice. Once they're in it's a bit like being underwater and you can't really hear anything.
After trying five different types (including different foams and wax) I must say that these are the most comfortable ones. However they don't block out noise as well as e.g. wax earplugs. Also they are expensive and wear out quickly (after about 3 or 4 times). But if you want to give your ear canal a 'break' from pain and irritation - and manage to keep your hair out of your ears (difficult with long hair, as the stuff is a bit sticky like blutack :-)) Then these are the earplugs for you!
Feels strange at first, but definitely better than conventional non-mouldable earplugs. I would suggest giving these a try as they are effective and comfortable, much more so than regular earplugs which also get dirty easily. Only downside is I wonder if they will get lodged into my ear canal, as it says in the warnings on the packaging!
