I am Peri-menopausal and for the last year or so have been suffering from some very distressing symptoms that my doctor diagnosed as 'vaginal atrophy' - dryness, itching and irritation, uncomfortable sex, and a constant urge to go for a wee. My doctor prescribed Vagifem vaginal tablets that definitely did work but having taken them for 9 months I started to become concerned about taking them long term as I am only in my mid forties. I started to search online for a more natural alternative and came across this product and decided to give it a go. I have been using it for a couple of months now and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's changed my life. Gone is the redness, itching and irritation, and my bits feel so comfortable and - well 'normal' again. I cut them in half because as other reviewers have suggested, they are quite long, and I have found this to be enough (plus you don't feel so 'gunky' the following morning) and I use them 3 times a week. I can't recommend them highly enough and am so pleased I found this product.
and it does not have any side effects! you can use it every night and the effect lasts the whole day long. It is excellent for long journeys on the plane.
I am early menopausal and my GP prescribed me Vagifem topical HRT suppositories for my dryness. I want to avoid HRT if at all possible so I thought I would give these Vitamine E suppositories a try instead. A month on and the improvement is VERY Good. I would almost give it 5 stars but I want to wait and see a bit longer. The thing with the vagifem is that the oestrogen in them is supposed to trigger a regeneration of the cells in the vaginal skin. I dont know that Vitamin E will do the same thing, but here's hoping. It certainly makes it feel much much better. As the US reviews say - a whole one is way too much - I have been using a half but may well reduce to a third. Ive just introduced Maca and Ground Flaxseed to my diet too so Im hoping the combination will see me through with no HRT.
I have suffered with vaginal atrophy on and off for the last 10 years but after a total hysterectomy three years ago it has returned with a vengeance. I too have been prescribed oestrogen suppositories by my doctor but after reading the side effects I was feeling very hesitant about using them. After trawling various sites on the internet, I read very good reports about the Vitamin E suppositories and after purchasing a supply from Amazon I was amazed and delighted at the results. I inserted one in the morning and on the first day of use the effects were immediate. All the soreness disappeared and I no longer had a constant urge to pass water, something which has been making my life a misery.
