Chemotherapy can often result in weakened and painful nails (sometimes called "chemo nails"), which are vulnerable to infection. OnicoLife Drops are perfect for brittle or tender nails, nail ridges, split nails and yellowed or blackened nails. The earlier in treatment you start to use the drops, the more likely that uncomfortable nail side effects are kept to a minimum. However, OnicoLife has been shown to help even if you're advanced in your treatment, so it's not too late to begin your nail care regime.

Why do people living with cancer recommend this product?
The drops are amazing. My nails were hideous, totally shattered and every time I touched anything another bit of nail fell off. It felt as if my nails were exploding to pieces because of the chemotherapy. Since using OnicoLife every day for four weeks, the results have been really impressive. My nails look really healthy and the nail beds are shiny. I would happily show them off to anyone.

What should I do if I feel my nail coming loose?
If you feel your nail is coming loose, don’t be tempted to pull it off yourself. Tell your doctor or nurse if your fingers or nails are causing you pain, or if they are reddened.
Do some chemotherapies cause more nail damage than other chemos?
Yes. No two chemotherapies are the same. Although there are some side effects and symptoms that are common to the vast majority of chemos, such as nausea and fatigue, even these will vary in degree depending on the dose and the person's well-being. Patients having chemo that greatly affect nails, such as the taxols, will benefit from Onicolife. Speak to your doctor or oncology nurse before treatment to see if you are having a drug that can affect your nails.

How can breast cancer patients benefit from Onicolife drops?
Breast cancer patients who have had their lymph nodes removed are at risk of developing lymphedema. Any patient who has had lymph nodes in their underarms or groin at risk of developing lymphedema, but breast cancer patients routinely have these removed while other cancers do not. Nail care is very important in lymphedema prevention. Broken brittle nails, flaky skin and fungal infections can lead to an increase in lymph fluid and cause lymphedema if not treated promptly. Onicolife drops can help improve the quality of nails and decrease the risk of nail associated infections that can lead to lymphedema, by reducing the damage caused by chemotherapy to nails.
