Irregular bowel function often plagues cancer patients. Chia seeds offer an incredible solution as they help the digestive function and cleanse the bowel. Chia seeds are tiny seeds from the mint family with a neutral taste. When soaked in water or other liquids, they swell up and absorb up to 9 times their weight in liquid, which makes them excellent at helping to alleviate constipation and sluggish digestion by adding bulk and water to stools. Chia seeds are high in fiber and rich in other beneficial nutrients.

Pro-Tip:

For a tasty chia pudding, add a few tablespoons of chia seeds to a milk of your choice (e.g., cow's milk, almond or coconut milk) together with some honey and leave to soak for a few hours, or ideally overnight.  Add fruit of your choice to serve.

Nutritional Values:

A 1 ounce (28 grams) serving of chia seeds contains:

  • Fiber: 11 grams
  • Protein: 4 grams
  • Fat: 9 grams (5 of which are Omega-3s).
  • Calcium: 18% of the RDA
  • Manganese: 30% of the RDA
  • Magnesium: 30% of the RDA
  • Phosphorus: 27% of the RDA
  • They are also a source of Zinc, Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Potassium, Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) and Vitamin B2

    Will order again!

I ordered the 2Kg package and was pleased that it arrived early and that it was exactly what it claimed to be, not a scam! I love chia seeds so I will definitely buy more bulk packages from here! I am so happy because not many stores ship to my country (Malta) and the ones that do, charge more for the delivery than for the product itself! Here I found a good price and a legit product :)

    Really good!

Chia seeds are a high vitamin B and as I do lots of smoothies, so I put them in there. They do swell a little. Amazon did deliver on time and they were well packaged. Chia seed are expensive wherever you go and I think it's cheaper to buy gold. The quality does depend on price also, so do your homework.

Once again Sevenhills are the best

These chia seeds have been far better quality than others that I've tried. The packaging is perfect, it keeps the products dark and watertight and a very convenient weight for regular use. Sevenhills are a first rate company (I have no affilliation or knowledge of them other than using their products regularly) I alway try to find whatever I'm looking for in organic produce with them first and only try other companies if they don'e stock what I'm looking for. I have never been dissapointed yet and they are always excellent value for money.
