Have found this to be very useful and just the right height for me, sturdy too
good value for money only fault being that it could do with being adjustable a little higher I am 5-!0" and needing hip replacement hip it may be ok now but after the op. will need to be higher. still a nice stool, no corrosive parts B.Spencer
Stool is ideal for shower/sitting at sink, nice and sturdy and easily adjustable legs really useful, would recommend this product
The stool comes as a flat-pack but was easy to set up. There are five screws and washers that hold the legs in place. The legs are two U-shapes that are fixed one across the other with a central screw holding the one on top of the other. The only thing you have to watch out for is that the two leg parts are slightly different and one has to be placed below the other. The height adjustment is easy and involves buttons that automatically pop-out to hold the moving part of the leg firmly. There are eight different heights possible. Once assembled the stool feels sturdy and stable. It has large ribber feet that add to the sense of security. The diameter of the seat is 32cm. The legs splay out a bit to a width of 38cm. We have it in a rectangular shower cabinet measuring approximately 1m by 63cm and find the stool leaves plenty of space of manoeuvring about. A smaller square shower cabinet might be a bit of a tight fit.
I took care in checking out various showering aids and found many possible problems. However, this stool looked as if it would fit the bath with overhead shower and make life a lot easier. I was not disappointed. This is a very sturdy stool with legs and feet that ensure it is stable and firm. I can now shower with confidence that I won't fall or overbalance when seated. The feet fit inside the flat part of the bath with space to spare. The height adjustment works well and locks solidly. Water seems to drain well from the legs through the feet through the smallish drain holes The seat is not slippery and is easily wiped clean. So far no problems at all, seems like it will last a long time without rust or corrosion. Time will tell of course. Very pleased with this stool, makes life much easier.
