Why do people living with cancer recommend this product?

I was thrilled to receive my little pack of goodies when I got home from work today and immediately hot-footed it round to my sister's house. She was diagnosed with breast cancer about 8 weeks ago and is having some aggressive chemo. She often neglects her skin so I really wanted her to try your products so that she can feel the best she can, even on the dark days...the immediate big hit was the Itchy Skin Oil. She has been wearing her wig all day and was scratching away at her scalp when I arrived. A few drops of Itchy Skin Oil brought immediate relief.

About Skin Rescue Kit

Both the tumour as well as treatments and surgery, can cause your skin (and nails) to become rough, dry, burnt, sore, chapped, puckered, scarred and/or itchy.

We have put together some of our most popular skin-related items to create the Skin Things Kit. The kit includes:

The Itchy Skin Oil is a fragrance-free oil to relieve itchiness. Formulated especially for skin as it undergoes, and recovers from, chemotherapy treatment.

The Lyonsleaf Calendula Cream is a natural, powerful anti-inflammatory that promotes healing and cell regeneration without the side effects associated with topical steroids.

The Skin Blossom Nourishing Face Moisturiser is a very gentle and natural moisturiser ideal for sensitive skin.

The Aloe Vera Faith Deodorant is an effective, long-lasting crystal roll-on deodorant with skin conditioning ingredients to fight odour without inhibiting perspiration, leaving you feeling fresh and comfortable all day.

Skin Things Kit FAQs

Why is skin care important?

The skin is the first barrier of defence our body has. It provides a protective layer to stop bugs getting in. When exposed to chemo, radiotherapy or have surgery, the skin cells become damaged and not as good as being a protective layer.

This damage can look like reddened, broken, cracked, dry or itchy skin. If the skin is not cared for the damage could become worse. Skin care aims at reducing the side-effects of the skin caused by chemo, radiotherapy or surgery.

Is there anything I should avoid putting on my skin?

Skin becomes more delicate when exposed to cancer treatment and post surgery, so it is best to put as natural products on your skin as possible. Makeup, and heavy alcohol containing products such as perfume and aftershave can irritate sensitive skin, so these are best avoided.

Customer Reviews

  1. Lyonsleaf Renew and Relief - JrhThomas, Tuesday, 08 May 2018

I use the Lyonsleaf for everything face moisturizer. It worked great at relieving the itch in my scalp. It is helping renew my skin that I have tried lots of prescribed and non prescribed ointments, creams, and balms. This so far has been the best all natural products that really works. I wish there was more calendula in the balm. The label is misleading because it says it's 100% natural calendula balm. It itsn't as Calendula is #7 under the ingredients list. Overall great product.

  2. Best face moisturizer ever - Emma wojdyla, Saturday, 07 January 2017

    It was great

  3. Great combination of skin care items - Joy, Wednesday, 18 May 2016

Really delighted with this brilliant bundle...the Lyonsleaf healing cream is amazing, I've only had to use a little bit at a time as the cream really melts into the skin and a little goes a long way - I'll definitely be buying the larger jar as it's done wonders for clearing up the sore areas that have developed from the constant itching. This brings me onto the itchy skin oil....didn't think an oil could stop scratching, but the oil is actually quite soothing and calms down my urge to itch. It's surprisingly non-greasy and I've even used a little on my scalp. The deodorant smells really fresh and clean, the fact that it's all natural is a big plus for me, and for a natural deodorant, the smell is pretty long lasting. As for the Skin Blossom Face Moisturiser, it's light and natural and great for my sensitive skin. In all, a great combination of products! Thank you!
