Many women who have breast cancer undergo surgeries such as mastectomy, lumpectomy, reconstruction and breast-conserving proceduces and find it can be very difficult to find bras which meet post-surgery requirements. THEYA Healthcare bras have been designed with the input of breast cancer patients, in order to provide the most comfort, support, functionality and healing support.
The bras, which are even stocked in some hospitals, are made with OEKO-TEX certified bamboo. This bamboo is 41% more breathable than cotton, making it ideal for excessive sweating, hot flushes or whilst on hormone therapy. The fabric is also UV resistant, hypoallergenic and very good at moisture wicking. The fabric also has a proven antibacterial effect. The bra is back-fastening and both seam and wire free to increase comfort levels. In addition to this it has padded shoulder straps and removable modesty pads which can be worn instead of or with breast form to give shape. The bra features a pocket for breast forms and is suitable to be worn if drains are present. It is also high under the arm which gives support if you have had lymph node removal. This bra has no tags or labels which can often irritate sensitive skin.

Why do people living with cancer recommend this product?
I was dreading putting any bra on the day after my operation, but the THEYA bra is so soft and comfortable it doesn't feel like it's squashing anything at all. Amazingly it gives support without feeling that you are actually wearing a bra; it is as comfortable as it could possibly be considering. I am so thankful I have been able to wear one of the THEYA bras the last three weeks and felt at ease after my operation.

Most comfortable bra
Having had a lumpectomy, then, unfortunately, suffering a haematoma, I was desperately searching for a good bra. I saw an advert for this through the breast cancer care magazine and this was the first bra that gave some comfort. I like the fact that it is made from bamboo, very soft material, is seam free (how do they do it?) and the size is easily adjustable. But the front fastening Theya bra is even better. It is deeper and has a wide band at the bottom which is less liable to curl up. This is expensive but I strongly recommend it, especially to those whose skin feels more sensitive after an operation.
Going into hospital for a lumpectomy, I wasn't sure what type of bra I would be able to wear after surgery. A little research later I bought this one and was so glad I did. It provides a perfect level of comfort and support. I had a drain put in and wearing this bra (both day and night) gave me more confidence and helped me to keep the drain in place. We are having a heat wave and this bra is keeping me nice and dry, which I feel is helping the healing process. I am on the cusp between Medium and Large, so I plumped for the Large size. This worked out perfectly, as I went into hospital having the bra on the tightest setting, and left post surgery with it on the loosest. This meant it was comfortable with any swelling and bruising etc. The padded part is great too, as it helps hide asymmetry from the operation, making me feel more confident. Cannot recommend this bra enough, so glad I bought it just before surgery to provide comfort. I am now buying a second one as I am literally living in this one. :) Best Wishes. Emma
It is very comfy after LD reconstruction I am going to order another !
“Theya lingerie an absolute must have for anyone not just people who have had surgery. After being diagnosed with cancer at 30 then having breast and axilla surgery I have continually struggled to find comfortable bras. They would either dig into my rib, cut into my node removal scar, trap lymphodaema or just generally look ugly. Which is not what I wanted at all. After being introduced to Theya I will never go back. The cup is comfortable and high holding without looking unpleasant. The bras are uniquely feminine and offer the support and comfort needed. I would recommend Theya lingerie to anyone even ladies who have not had surgery they are an absolute must have! I just love the bras! Victoria x"
